By adjusting your verb choices, sentence length, and softeners, you completely control the social impact of your message without ever altering the facts.

System Failure Points
Failure 1: The Stacked Softener
Do not chain multiple softeners together. It destroys your authority and makes you sound terribly insecure.
Failure 2: The Corporate Sincerity Breach
Using cold, deliverable-focused corporate jargon during a deeply personal, reflective, or therapeutic conversation instantly kills sincerity.
Failure 3: The Passive-Aggressive Trap
A purely neutral tone applied to a sensitive correction can accidentally read as passive-aggressive. If there is a risk of this, intentionally dial up the 'Warmth' by adding a reason.
